About

Our story

Meaningful educational innovation can be delivered in a community school.

Mutare First Steps Schools began from a clear belief: every child deserves an opportunity to discover their potential. Too often, access to practical and future-oriented learning is limited by economic circumstances. We set out to build a school where that does not have to be true.

The school serves families in and around Mutare. Teaching follows Zimbabwe’s Heritage-Based Curriculum, and it is brought to life through projects, experience, student agency and the CREAMS values — Compassion, Respect, Excellence, Adaptability, Moral Integrity and Service.

Our motto, Building a lasting legacy, is the promise on the crest: children who can step up, contribute, and carry their learning into the life of the community.
